Gearbox Software Goes Above And Beyond…
This is a tale of how a major game developer takes time out of their busy schedule, to help a huge fan of their games win over his girlfriends heart, and in the process bring smiles to millions of gamers around the world. Ben reached out to Gearbox a while back and told them the tale of how he met his girlfriend Tora and they bonded over playing Borderlands in co-op mode, he asked them to help him propose via a video featuring the popular and foul mouthed character Claptrap.
Randy Pitchford and the fine folks working at the studio, took a week of their time to make this video for their fan, and it is one of the funniest and heart warming things you have probably seen in awhile. No word yet on how things turned out for Ben, and hopefully with the hard work Gearbox put into this, she said yes. Gearbox is set to release their next game, Duke Nukem Forever on June 14th, 2011 proving nothing is impossible. Check out the proposal video below.
